The power and energy industry in the UK is going through major restructuring, which will bring opportunities as well as uncertainties. Even though ageing utility infrastructure has to be replaced with new assets by 2030, utilities often differ in their investment plans causing uncertainty about UK market. In this section, both micro and macro factors (Fig. 1) effecting PS (UK)’s market share are discussed (GD (P), 2015).
